Walsall Football Club winger Jordan Cook has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this evening's League trip to Preston North End, and has discussed last weekend's draw away to Bradford city insisting that the point gained could prove to be very important come the end of the season.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Jordan said; “To go there and get a point was a good result. We knew it would be a battle and we worked really hard throughout. We looked the brighter team towards the end and could have nicked all three points.

“Bradford have beaten a number of teams from higher levels this season; I don’t think these teams realise how difficult it is out there in those conditions, but we prepared well and knew their strengths and weaknesses and were able to exploit them to keep our good away form going.

“We’re a good counter-attacking team and it is serving us well on the road. This could be a massive point come the end of the season and now we look to build upon it on Tuesday as we travel to Preston.

“It’s another tough assignment for us, but we put in one of our best away performances of the season there last month in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

“They have spent money to assemble a strong squad, but we fancy ourselves against anyone at this level.

“It’s all about momentum and adding to our points tally. If we keep plugging away and doing our thing, we will be okay.

“When teams come at us, we would back ourselves every time. We are hungry to do our best for each other and turn what is already a good season into a fantastic season.”
