Walsall Football Club's left-sided defender Malvind Benning has today seen his loan agreement with Sky Bet League 2 outfit York City extended for a further month.
Walsall Football Club's left-sided defender Malvind Benning has today seen his loan agreement with Sky Bet League 2 outfit York City extended for a further month.

21-year-old, Sandwell born Benning is a product of the Walsall FC Centre of Excellence, and joined the Minstermen on in January for an initial four week spell.

Mal has gone on to play a key role in Russ Wilcox's side, playing in every minute of their last six league games, after he made his club debut in the home draw against Burton Albion in January.

Manager Wilcox spoke to YorkCityFootballClub.co.uk about today's news, he said; "I've been pleased with Mal's performances and it's good news that he'll be with us for another month. I think overall he's done well in his previous games and he adds strength to the squad which is key at the moment because we are a little bit short of numbers."
