Earlier this afternoon Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side took on Oldham Athletic in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
Neil Woods' Saddlers, who sit 4th in the table, arrived at the match on the back of a 6-0 friendly victory over Boston United.
Whilst 9th placed Oldham Athletic, who are managed by Tony Philliskirk, haven't played for many weeks due to frozen and waterlogged pitches.
It was the visitors who took the lead five minutes before half-time, Jack Tuohy finding the net after a neat pass from Devante Jacob.
The Saddlers equalised after 75 minutes through Levi Rowley, the high-scoring striker capitalising on a defensive error.
Oldham retook the lead with just a few minutes to go, Lee Knight heading home from a Callum Scullion cross.
