Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 defeat to Coventry City, and has discussed his anger at the way the Saddlers started the game.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "I was angry with the start we made. We were sloppy and slow and gave the ball away too many times.
"We knew that they would start on the front-foot and be in our faces straight away but we gave them a lift early on and you can't afford to do that in this League.
"We were much better in the second half and I didn't feel that we deserved to lose the game in the end.
"There was a spell during that second period when we were well on top and we've hit the woodwork and their 'keeper has pulled off a few good saves. We needed to score when we were on top and had we done so, I felt we would have then gone on to win the game.
"But in the end I was most disappointed about the way in which we started the game."
