Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website in the wake of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 defeat at home to Scunthorpe United, and has spoken of his disappointment as the Saddlers notched their third home defeat in a row.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk Smith said; "We were in total control and bossing it for the opening 25 minutes or so. Then our first bit of loose play ends with them taking the lead and this is followed by some poor defending to give them a two-goal advantage.
"It was similar to our game at Tranmere where we went in at half-time wondering how we were two goals behind.
"I said to the lads that it could go either way and, to be fair, they responded in the right way at the start of the second half and deservedly got ourselves back into it.
"Unfortunately they were handed an opportunity for a third goal from the penalty spot and it killed us as we were in the ascendency at that stage and I fancied us to go on and win the game.
"The fourth goal was more poor defending and it means that it is three home defeats on the spin, which is disappointing."
