Walsall manager Dean SMith has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this evening's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Preston North End, and has called upon the travelling support to get behind the team and make their voices heard.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "It's a tough task against a good Preston North End team who have been able to recruit well recently with the type of player that they have been able to bring in showing the power and size of the club at this level.
"That said, we have already played them once this season and beaten them. The opportunity is there for us, but we know that with it being over two legs, the tie won't be won or lost on Wednesday evening.
"We're certainly looking forrward to the game as we have worked extremely hard to get here and we know what is there for us if we can get through.
"I am sure that we will take a decent following to Deepdale and I ask our travelling contingent to really get behind the players and make your voices heard."
