Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of tomorrow's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Gillingham, and has discussed his desire to sign a player on loan ahead of 'Transfer Deadline Day'.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “I am looking at maybe bringing someone in. There are areas I want to cover. We will always have a 24 hour call-back after 28 days on loans out but I think it is the right time to strengthen in areas I feel we have not got much cover.
“It will be a loan, one or two might be going out, I have had a couple of enquiries. I think we need a bit more cover in wide areas and up front.
“We have had a lot more people chipping in with goals. Cookie, Fordey and Michael Cain have got a few in the past few weeks so we are getting goals from those areas.”
