Versatile Walsall Football Club defender James Chambers has once again spoken to the press ahead of next week's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Preston North End, and has urged his fellow players to stay focused on the task in hand, and not be distracted by the chance to play at Wembley Stadium.

Speaking to the Express & Star, James said; “It is a game of football. I understand the importance to a lot of people and it is the same for me and the other players. But we have to see it as a game of football, the job we do, and go out and do a professional job. If we do that and perform how we are capable of performing, the result will hopefully follow.

“I am excited. It is a big game for us and them. I would imagine we will be favourites, being 2-0 up, but they are a very good side with some very good players and experience in the team. We know we will have to be at our best to keep them out.

“It’s exciting but at the same time we have to make sure we put on a professional performance if we want to win it. It’s always good when you play in front of large crowds. This will be one of the biggest gates we have had for years.

“The fans can play their part and they will know we want them behind us. They can play a massive part as well. They will be key, just as our part on the pitch will be too.”
