Walsall Football Club Captain Adam Chambers has spoken to the press ahead of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Scunthorpe United, and has discussed the teams need to be more consistent in the league - starting tomorrow.
Speaking to the Walsall Advertiser, Adam Said; “We know we have to start doing better in the league – we are underachieving in the league so we know we have to find more consistency.
“In both of those games, we've had spells in each where the other team has scored and we haven’t quite been at the races.
“In the first half against Swindon, I thought we did really well but we came out for the second half and in the first ten minutes, the game was done.
“Similarly to the Coventry game, we didn't start too well and they got on the front foot early on and scored a wonder strike.
“We know we need to start games a lot better, get on the front foot, take the initiative and really push right from the start to try to stamp our authority on the game.
“I thought we did that against Preston – we started really well for the first 10 minutes and we need to do that again tomorrow.
"The focus has always got to be on the next game and we’re looking forward to taking the confidence we’ve got from the Preston performance and result into the Scunthorpe game and looking to get three points there."
