Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of today's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Barnsley, and has revealed that he plans to open talks with Leicester City over a loan extension for midfielder, Michael Cain.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; "I’m really pleased with how he’s progressing and there will be a conversation with Leicester soon to see whether we can extend his loan.
“We have extended it once and it’s up on December 21, so there will be a conversation with Leicester to see if we can extend it until January.
“Once we get to January, if we can keep him until then, the conversation will change but it will all depend on what Leicester want to do.”
