On Boxing Day Walsall will play host to Swindon Town in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season, here is the latest team news, head to head statistics, and more.

  WALSALL LATEST
Dean Smith's side haven't lost in seven league fixtures, and arrive at the game on the back of last weekend's 0-0 draw with Sheffield United.

Andy Taylor is doubtful with a knee injury, Physio Jon Whitney continues to work with the left-back as he looks to return to first-team action in the near future.

The left-back had been expected to play in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday but suffered a problem with his knee in training on Thursday.

Michael Cain is available after extending his loan from Leicester for another month.
Midfielder Sam Mantom is set to miss out as he continues to work on his fitness levels.

  THE OPPOSITION
Swindon Town will be boosted by the availability of Harry Toffolo when they make the trip to the Banks's Stadium.

The Norwich City loanee has missed the Robins' last two games with medial knee ligament damage but has recently resumed training and is ready to return to action on Boxing Day.

Town manager Mark Cooper will also be able to call on Massimo Luongo and Yaser Kasim, who will head out on international duty with their countries following their clash with Port Vale on Sunday.

The Robins sit just one point off the top of Sky Bet League 1, but Cooper could ring the changes after their loss to Doncaster Rovers with Michael Smith, Anton Rodgers and Jake Reeves hopeful of being involved.

  HEAD TO HEAD
In terms of head to head, of the ninety-two meetings it's Swindon who hold the lead with thirty-three wins to the Saddlers' thirty-two. There have also been twenty-seven draws between the two sides.

Their first encounter took place on 15th October 1927, with the Robins defeating the Saddlers five-nil at the County Ground, there were 6,938 in attendance.

Their most recent meeting was on 28th January this year, the match ending in a 1-1 draw at Banks's Stadium, Romaine Sawyers and Michael Smith scoring the goals.

The last five meetings have resulted in three draws and one win apiece, and if the statistic is extended to the previous ten meetings Walsall have won just two, drawn five and lost three.

  THE OFFICIALS
Mr. David Webb, who is based in County Durham, is scheduled to be taking control of the game.

Referee Webb has officiated over seventeen games this season, where he has issued thirty-four yellow and one red card. He has also awarded one penalty so far this campaign.

Mr. Webb's most recent Walsall match was this season's 0-0 draw with Leyton Orient, the match, which took place at the Matchroom Stadium on 23rd August, had just one booking with Romain Vincelot picking up a caution for the hosts.

Mr. Thomas Bramall and Mr. Robert Jones will be assisting the referee, whilst Mr. Nigel Smith is scheduled to be Fourth Official.
