Walsall midfielder James Baxendale has spoken to the press ahead of this evening's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Semi-Final fixture against Tranmere Rovers, and has discussed his desire to play at Wembley stadium.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Baxendale said; “For players at this level it’s a big competition because there aren’t many opportunities to get to Wembley.
“You’ve got the play-offs every season and only two teams can do that, and then you’ve got this. At the start of the season a few of the lads were speaking about it and saying if we could have a good run it would be a good opportunity for us.
“I have never even been to Wembley. I don’t go that far south normally! I went to old Wembley but I’ve never been to the new one so it would be nice to get there and play in it.”
