Walsall Football Club Vice-Captain Paul Downing has spoken to the press following yesterday evening's Johnstone's Paint Trophy 'Sudden Death' penalty shootout victory over Tranmere Rovers, and has discussed his match winning penalty, and the prospect of the Northern Area Final.

Speaking to BBC SPORT, Paul said; "I knew where I was going to put it as I'd practised penalties in training the day before, so I stuck to it.

"This is a massive opportunity for us now to get into the history books. These are exciting times for the club. We fancy ourselves against anyone over two legs."
