Walsall striker Jordan Cook has topped of a very successful weekend by being named in the Football League 'Team of the Week'.

24-year-old Cook, who joined the Saddlers on a free transfer in the summer played a massive part in the Saddlers' 3-0 victory over Barnsley, scoring two goals, and setting up the third.

Hetton-le-Hole born Cook began his career at Sunderland, and following loan spells with Darlington, Walsall and Carlisle United, joined Charlton Athletic on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.

Jordan went on to make around ten first-team appearances for the Addicks before being released last summer.

Jordan joined the Saddlers just a few weeks later and has made several first-team appearances despite missing much of the opening to the season through an ankle injury, which he picked up during pre-season.

He is joined in the 'Team of the Week' by; Gabor Kiraly (Fulham), Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough), Luke Ayling (Bristol City), Reda Johnson (Coventry City), Andy Kellett (Plymouth Argyle), Erhun Oztumer (Peterborough United), Demarai Gray (Birmingham City), Bradley Johnson (Norwich City), Alex MacDonald (Burton Albion), Luke Norris (Gillingham) and manager Paul Tisdale, of Exeter City.
