Walsall Football Club have this afternoon confirmed that former club captain and two time 'Player of the Season' Andy Butler has left the club following the expiration of his month-loan loan deal.
Sheffield United defender Butler, returned to the Saddlers on 11th September, just a few short months after leaving for the Blades on a free transfer, has found himself out-of-favour at Bramall Lane following an apparent training ground bust-up with manager Nigel Clough.
Over the weekend Walsall manager Dean Smith confirmed that the club had requested a loan extension, however, following today's loan signing of Leicester City midfielder Michael Cain, that request was withdrawn, with the money being spent elsewhere.
