SMITH PLEASED WITH SELECTION DILEMMA

Walsall manager Dean Smith has once again spoken to the press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One trip to Oldham Athletic, and has discussed his growing selection dilemma as the club's injury crisis continues to ease.

Speaking to the Express & Star, Dean Said; “It’s an enjoyable problem and that is what I'm paid to do – I'm paid to pick a team who can go and win a football game.

“It’s nice to have a lot of players to choose from for a change rather than have the team dictated to me.

“It’s a problem I wanted at the start of the season and it has taken until the last couple of weeks to get that problem. It’s up to me to solve it."

Despite this, Dean says he already has an idea of which team he will select this weekend, following the mid-week victory over Rochdale, he said; “I suppose it could be because the players who came in did so well. I know my team already.

“The players came in on Tuesday and it was an opportunity for them. I always say when you get an opportunity it is up to you to take it and they certainly did that."
