Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One trip to Notts County, and has discussed his team's need to find some consistent form and begin to move up the table.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith began by looking at the positives, he said; “The main positive is the togetherness and how the players stuck to it, stuck to their task.
“We could have felt sorry for ourselves after the Crawley game with the effort that had been put in and how they played. They never let it get to them. That togetherness has been consistent. They are a really good group.
“They want to do it for each other and nothing pleases me more, when after the Chesterfield game, you are getting big high fives from Manny and Grimesy who weren't on the pitch.
“It just shows it’s a squad game and they are all in it together. It needs more all the time but it shows there is a squad game and they want to be successful together.
“It has been a stop-start season so far and we need to find some consistency.”
