
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Dean said; “We started well and finished well, but the bit in between was not good enough. I felt that we got too stretched and gave possession away too cheaply; we allowed them to dominate the ball.
“We made a bright start and Jordan Cook looked a threat, but once we got in front we seemed to step off it.
“It was a disappointing result and performance; Oldham are a good side, you don’t go that many games unbeaten without having something about you, but we lacked that spark and know-how today.
“We didn't put enough balls into the box or behind them, so that is also something we will look at.”
