Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press following Saturday afternoon's 3-0 demolition of Doncaster Rovers, and has praised former Wolves winger Anthony Forde, who along with a superb performance against Gillingham, also chipped-in with a goal last weekend.
Speaking to the
Express & Star, Dean said; “He was excellent on Saturday and he was excellent last week at Gillingham as well.
“He set two goals up a couple of weeks ago. He knows he needs to score more goals, because he had a couple of chances inside the first minute and both got blocked.
“I’m really pleased he had his free-kick because he needs to score as well as just provide.
“There was a run in the 93rd minute to get back and defend and it just shows his attitude.”
