Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of tomorrow's Sky Bet League One clash with Gillingham, and has insisted that following the mid-week drubbing to Rochdale, he still believes in the clubs 'football philosophy'.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said: “We have all been through periods where we haven’t won and we know how to come out of them.
“What is important is you don’t lose the belief in what you are trying to do and you don’t forget the philosophy of what the club is about.
“We have been crippled this season with a lot of injuries and we have had to blood a lot of youngsters. Some games it has worked and in other games it hasn't.
“Further down the line we will be stronger for it, that is for sure.”
