Walsall football Club attacking midfielder Romaine Sawyers will soon be taking to the field for Saint Kitts and Nevis in Group Six of the 2014 Caribbean Cup.
Birmingham-born Sawyers will join his side in taking on Saint Lucia at the Warner Park Sporting Complex, Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis.
22-year-old Sawyers originally came through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion after joining the club as an apprentice in 2004, and made his first-team debut during the final game of the 2008/09 campaign.
Coming through the ranks at The Hawthorns, he signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2009, but missed much of the following season with a knee injury. After his recovery he found himself on the fringes of the first-team and spent time on loan with Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town and Walsall before making the permanent switch to The Saddlers last summer.
Romaine penned an extension to his contract in May and is set to be with the club until the summer of 2016.
