Walsall Football Club loan signing Andy Butler has this afternoon spoken of his delight at being given the opportunity to return to the club just a few short months after joining Sheffield United, and has insisted he's looking forward to getting back into action as soon as possible.
Speaking to saddlers.co.uk, Andy said; “It’s great to be back here. It was a tough decision for me to leave in the summer; I didn't leave the club on bad terms, it was more for off-the-field reasons so hopefully the fans can understand this.
“I'm going to give everything I've got during my time here; I just want to be out there playing football and making a contribution.
“As a professional when you are not playing, it does get you down, but the opportunity to get back into action has certainly put a smile on my face.
“Hopefully I can slot straight back in and help the club return to winning ways. It’s a tough start for us against a strong Preston side, but I can’t wait, to be honest.
“I’ve got a lot of friends at this club and also enjoyed a good relationship with the fans, so I am delighted to be back.”
