This coming Tuesday evening Walsall Football Club play host to Yeovil Town in the third game of both sides' Sky Bet League One campaigns.

Walsall arrive at the game undefeated in their opening three, which also includes safe passage into Round Two of the Capital One Cup, following a 2-1 midweek victory over Southend United.

The Saddlers could be without defender James Chambers who limped off during the weekend's 0-0 draw with Bradford City. Defender Ben Purkiss (ankle) returned to training last week and may be fit for a place on the bench.

Summer signing James O'Connor missed this weekend's match with a knee injury, which could see Liam Kinsella continuing in his place as the Saddlers look to notch their first victory of the season.

Sam Mantom (knee) is likely to remain on the sidelines, along with Matt Preston (thigh) and Jordan Cook (ankle), who all continue to receive treatment for their injuries.

Yeovil will arrive at the Banks's Stadium winless, and goal-less in the league following an opening day 3-0 defeat to Doncaster Rovers, which was followed up with a 2-0 away defeat to Gillingham, who were coincidently the side that they faced, and lost to, in the First Round of the Capital One Cup last Tuesday; the Glovers did manage to notch a goal during the game via former Nottingham Forest midfielder Simon Gillett, but were ultimately defeated 2-1 by the Gills.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson will be keen for his side, who were relegated from the Championship last season, to pick up all three points and give themselves a chance at moving out of the relegation zone.

Seth Nana Twumasi will miss out as he serves the second game of a three-match suspension for his sending off against Gillingham in the League Cup.

In-terms of head-to-head, of the twenty fixtures played, Yeovil have a small advantage with seven wins to Walsall's six. There have also been seven draws between the two.

Their first encounter took place at Fellows Park in the Second Round of the FA Cup on 12th December 1936, the match ended in a 1-1 draw which resulted in a replay being played just three days later, with the Saddlers emerging victorious (0-1) and advancing to the Third Round.

In more recent times the Saddlers have failed to beat their opponents in the past seven attempts, a record that goes back until December 2009.

Tuesday's referee will be Jeremy Simpson, who is based in Lancashire. Adam Matthews and Steven Plane will be running the lines, whilst Robert Merchant is scheduled to be fourth official.
