Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has today spoken to the press ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League One trip to Leyton Orient. Amongst the raft of topics covered, Smith revealed that the club is continuing to search for a new addition, but is being scuppered by delays that are beyond their control.
Speaking to the Walsall Advertiser, Smith said; "We are trying. There were three phone calls went in on Monday and I had four of my staff at different games as well. We can only try our best to get a striker in and that is what we are doing.
"We have three or four strikers who we have made phone calls about and we are having to wait on them, that is all we can do. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of other clubs at the moment. It is just a case of waiting."
