Walsall Football Club attacking-midfielder Romaine Sawyers has been called up by Saint Kitts and Nevis ahead of the nations involvement in the Caribbean Cup.The 22 year-old will join up with his fellow countrymen for their three Group 6 matches against Lucia, Guyana and Dominica.
Romaine spoke to Saddlers.co.uk about today's news, he said; “Whenever I’ve joined up with the squad it’s always been a great experience. We seem to gel together well even though we don’t play together week-in-week-out.
“It’s not the biggest of countries so the talent pool isn't as big as other Caribbean countries.
“There’s a few of us that play in England, not any higher than League One, but lots of players who have been at academies at a younger age.”
