French striker Mathieu Manset, who starred during the Saddlers' 2-3 friendly defeat to Leicester City, has returned to France. However Walsall remain keen to sign him, with contract negotiations ongoing.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea midfielder Billy Clifford is set to train with the squad for the week and could feature during tomorrow's friendly versus Aston Villa.
