According to several reports, former Walsall loanee Milan Lalkovic could be set for a surprise return to the club, despite snubbing their advances earlier this summer.
The Slovakia Under-21 international joined Chelsea in 2007, from Slovak side MFK Košice, and went on to sign professional terms in 2010.
After loan spells with Doncaster Rovers, ADO Den Haag and Vitória de Guimarães, Milan joined the Saddlers in July 2013 and made an instant impact by scoring in the 3-1 win over Tranmere Rovers, on the opening day of the season. Following several good performances his loan was extended during January Transfer Window.
Milan went on to score eight goals in thirty-eight first team appearances for the Saddlers, however the latter part of his season was disrupted by a succession of hamstring injuries.
Upon returning to Stamford Bridge in early May, Chelsea announced their decision not to renew Milan's contract and made him available for free transfer.
On 25th July, after contract discussions with several clubs; including Walsall, Milan opted to join FK Mladá Boleslav, thanks, in part, to the lure of UEFA Europa League football.
However, following a 6-2 aggregate defeat to Olympique Lyonnais, Boselav crashed out of the competition.
It is understood that Milan's representatives have met with Walsall Football Club over a possible deal.
