Walsall Football Club striker Jordan Cook finally underwent a scan on his injured ankle yesterday, following over a week of delays due to excessive swelling.
24 year-old, Sunderland-born Cook was stretchered off in the first half of the Saddlers' 19th July friendly defeat at Torquay United, having gone over awkwardly on his ankle.

He underwent an x-ray the following Monday but was deemed to be unsuitable for a scan as his foot and ankle are still swollen.
Initial results of the scan show no ligament rupture, however further information is expected later today.
