Walsall Football Club goalkeeper Liam Roberts, who returned to the club earlier this week, penning a one-year deal, has been allowed to leave on loan until January, in order to gain some much-needed first-team football.Roberts has joined Northern Premier Division side Rushall Olympic, who are managed by former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Richard Sneekes.
Liam spoke to saddlers.co.uk about the move, he said; "It's all about getting game time. I am looking forward to the challenge of establishing myself in the team and playing regularly in what is a tough, competitive League.
"This move is going to really help in my overall development and I know that the Gaffer will be keeping close tabs on me, so it's my chance to show him what I am capable of in match situations.
"Rushall have a new manager at the helm, and have brought in a number of new players over the summer, so it's an exciting time for them and hopefully I can play my part in a successful first half of the season.
"I would like to think that this move will be beneficial for all involved."
