Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has spoken about his decision to release Spanish trialist Javier Lopez Iglesias, who it is reported, flew back to Spain yesterday afternoon.
Speaking to the Walsall Advertiser, Smith said: “I just didn't feel he was going to improve us and anybody who comes into this football club needs to be able to do that.
“So I've made the decision and Javier has gone back to Spain. We thank him for his efforts in his time with us.
“We’re still looking for two or three forward players and once we get them in, I think we’re done.”
