This week the Walsall Football Club first-team squad are based in the South-West as they continue 2014/15 pre-season with matches against Taunton Town (Wednesday) and Torquay United (Saturday)...As part of the trip, the squad have been going through rigorous training sessions designed to boost their fitness ahead of the campaign.
It is being reported that midfielder Sam Mantom is likely to miss both warm-up games with a knee injury, whilst right-back Ben Purkiss could to be out for a few weeks with an ankle ligament injury following an accident in training.
Otherwise, the Saddlers squad, including trialist Javier Lopez Iglesias (Camochu), are today continuing their preparations with further sessions this afternoon.
