According to media reports Walsall Football Club have agreed a compensation package with Skrill North side Harrogate Town over the transfer of their goalkeeping prospect Craig MacGillivray...
Reports in the Wetherby News and Harrogate Advertiser suggest Walsall and Harrogate have come to terms on a deal for the 21-year-old stopper who has come to the end of his deal with the club but was set to pen a new deal.
Craig joined Harrogate in August 2012 having left Stalybridge Celtic at the end of the previous campaign. A very talented young shot stopper, Craig made a total of four appearances for Celtic before a bad injury prematurely ended his season.
Before joining Stalybridge, Craig was often the reserve keeper for Harrogate's neighbours Harrogate Railway Athletic, and also spent a small amount of time on loan to neighbours Harrogate Railway Athletic during the 2012-2013 season.
He signed a new two year deal with the club in November 2012 and before today's reported deal had been attracting a lot of attention from league clubs including Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United.
