Saddlers new recruit James O'Connor has today spoken of his delight at joining the club, and of his excitement to work with Richard O'Kelly, whom he worked with at Bournemouth and Doncaster Rovers...Speaking to the Walsall Advertiser, James said: "I'm delighted to be here. Sometimes you just know when something is right and I have had good vibes ever since I first set foot in the place.
"Having spoken to the gaffer and a few people here, it's clear that this is a club that is progressing in the right direction and hopefully I can play my part in that.
"In Dean Smith we have a bright, young manager and having worked with Richard O'Kelly for a number of years I know exactly what he is all about and what he wants.
"There is a really positive philosophy here and I totally buy into that. The set-up is very impressive, I'm pleasantly surprised by it to be honest; everything is in place here for us to kick on."
