Walsall Football Club player-coach Dean Holden has today backed manager Dean Smith to deliver on the transfer market as the club continues to build towards the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One campaign...
Speaking to the Express & Star, Dean said: “The ones who come in will be the right ones for Walsall. They will be team players. There are no prima donnas, no superstars. If you walk in the doors with the right work ethic and the desire to improve yourself, then you will do really well.
"I don’t think it is a coincidence that the club has found itself in this position. Obviously Andy Butler leaving was a blow. But the gaffer has made decisions on other players. I think him and Rich have sat down and talked.
“I know how they work, having seen them at close quarters over the last 12 months. There is not a Tuesday or Wednesday in the season when they are not up and down the country watching players.”
