Soon-to-be released Walsall striker Craig Westcarr has today spoken about his release, and his plans for the future.Westcarr, who is said to be attracting the interest of Championship sides Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers, said; "I sat down with the gaffer and we were both open with each other. We both decided it would be best all-round if I look for a new club. I wish them well.
"I haven't really thought too much much about my future, I'm very open-minded so we'll just see what comes up in the next few weeks.
"I'm ambitious and I want to play at the highest level possible and I'm good enough to do that."
Westcarr was one of eight players to leave the Saddlers on Wednesday as boss Dean Smith reshapes his squad this summer.
