Walsall Football Club's main shirt sponsor CAT Communications have today hailed last night's charity match between the Mad Dog's and Cool CAT's as a success as over £4000 was raised for two charities...
In a statement, released via Facebook, they said: "We just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone involved in the charity match held last night!! it was a brilliant night and we raised over £4000 for these valuable charities.
"These events take a massive amount of organisations and people who are prepared to contribute both time and money. Firstly thank you to the 50+ people who gave their time and efforts free of charge - some sold programmes, some played for us, some acted as security, on car park etc, we genuinely could not do this without you!
"Thank you to Craig Lang who rallied the troops and got everyone there on time and in place and spent 3 hard months working on this. Thank you to Walsall FC Official for the use of the ground and the magic Dan and Andy who never ever fail us and finally to the wonderful supporters who played and helped raise funds and also sat in the stands and cheered you were all awesome and we will miss you. Thank you to you all."
All monies raised will be split between The Last Chance Hotel Animal Rescue and Balls to Cancer.
