Sam Mantom could be set to miss the match following a red card at the weekend, Walsall have lodged an appeal, which should be heard before this weeks game.

Walsall could once again be without left-back Andy Taylor who continues to receive treatment for a knee injury, but the rest of the squad are fighting fit.

The Saddlers, who are winless in the last five games, go into the game on the back of a somewhat disappointing defeat to Preston North End, and will be hoping to pick up three points as they head towards Saturday's derby with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Coventry City striker Nathan Delfouneso is set to return after missing the last three games. Sky Blues skipper Carl Baker and Franck Moussa will undergo fitness tests.

Coventry City are looking to recover from a poor run of form which as seen them pick up four points from a possible fifteen.

In terms of head-to-head the Sky Blues hold the outright lead with nineteen wins to Walsall's twelve, there have also been eleven draws between the two sides.

This weekends referee will be Richard Clark who is based in Northumberland. Referee Clark has officiated over twenty-three games this season where he has issued sixty-nine yellow and a total of eight red cards, he has also awarded ten penalties throughout the course of the season.
