FIVE ARRESTED DURING BLACK COUNTRY DERBY

A West Midlands Police officer yesterday confirmed that five people were arrested during the afternoon's Black Country Derby between Walsall and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A West Midlands Police officer yesterday confirmed that five people were arrested during the afternoon's Black Country Derby between Walsall and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Amongst the arrests was a Walsall supporter who encroached onto the pitch following the games opening goal, the supporter approached goalscorer Nouha Dicko but was challenged by other players, and ultimately removed by stewards.
In a brief online statement he also confirmed enquiries are continuing, we are expecting a statement on the issues early next week.
