Walsall Football Club have completed the six-month loan signing of winger Febian Brandy, just six months after he departed for Sheffield United.

24-year-old Brandy joined Manchester United aged at the age nine, and remained with the club until 2010. During his time at Old Trafford he'd also spent time on loan with Swansea City (twice), Hereford United and Gillingham before eventually being released. He had also represented England at various youth levels, including Under-16 and Under-19.

After over six months searching for a club, including unsuccessful trials with Leicester City and Preston North End, Febian signed a short term deal with League One side Notts County, he was released the following June, managing just four first-team appearances.

Following a brief spell with Greek side, Panetolikos he linked up with The Saddlers last summer, and penned a one-year contract, after an appearance in a pre-season game against AFC Telford United.

Febian had become a firm fans' favourite this season, he made thirty-seven first-team appearances for the club and notched seven goals.

However following the birth of his daughter, he rejected a new two-year deal with the Saddlers in favour of a switch to the Blades, Sheffield being significantly closer to home.

Febian has made just a handful of appearances for the Blades and has found himself further down the pecking order in recent weeks, he will be hoping for a regular place in the Saddlers starting line up.
