PROSPECT AGREES PRE-CONTRACT DEAL

Second-year scholar Amadou Bakayoko, has been offered a professional contract for the 2014/15 season.
Second-year scholar Amadou Bakayoko, has agreed to a professional contract for the 2014/15 season.

The 17 year-old has scored ten League goals in just twelve games for the youth team, whilst also notching twice in three outings for the reserves.

Speaking to various outlets, Amadou has expressed his delight at the deal, he said; "I am extremely proud to sign this and become the first player from my age group to be given a deal. I came into the youth team late, but there has been a massive difference in me both as a player and as a person since I have been here."

He continued; "I know that the hard work is only just starting. I am looking forward to the challenge and I intend to keep working hard and to make the most of my opportunity. The exciting thing about this club is that if you are good enough, your chance will come."

Amadou is highly regarded by both club and supporters and is likely to be seen as a major boost to the side.
