Chelsea winger Milan Lalkovič has confirmed his desire to remain on loan with Walsall Football Club for the foreseeable future, after impressing during his initial loan period.

Milan joined the Saddlers in July 2013 and made an instant impact by scoring in the 3-1 win over Tranmere Rovers on the opening day of the season.

He has gone on to make twenty-seven appearances, and scored four goals in all competitions.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk the Slovakia Under 21 International said "I know that I can keep improving here. The Gaffer and Richard O'Kelly are really helping me to develop and I would like to stay longer."

Late last week Saddlers manager Dean Smith confirmed negotiations are under way, he said "We are speaking with Chelsea at the moment. Nothing has been finalised yet but we are talking about what their thoughts are on him and where they want to go with him over the next six months."

He continued; "Speaking to Milan, I think he’d like to stay. We think there is certainly a lot more development in him for us but we have to make sure it’s right for both parties."

Lalkovic's Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season.
