Walsall will once again have a fully-fit squad to choose from, and are expected to recall Romaine Sawyers ahead of Nicky Featherstone as Dean Smith looks for a victory following recent draws against Crawley Town and Sheffield United.

The Saddlers have been solid at the back this campaign, having conceded just 16 league goals, first-choice 'keeper Richard O'Donnell has kept five clean sheets in the league all season.

Port Vale have an almost fully-fit squad, however manager Micky Adams will have to wait until Saturday morning before winger Dan Jones undergoes a fitness test following a foot injury. Vale skipper Doug Loft (calf) is expected to be sidelined for around three weeks.

Port Vale have, have won three, scoring nine goals in their last five league games, including a 3-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town. Vale were however defeated 2-0 by Preston North End earlier in the week.

The Saddlers have won just one of their last five meetings between the two sides, that victory coming in the Capital One Cup First Round in August. Overall, Walsall have won thirty-three, drawn twenty-two and lost fifteen in their seventy meetings.

This weekend's referee will be Michael Naylor who is based in South Yorkshire. Referee Naylor has officiated over thirteen games in various competitions this season, he has issued twenty-four yellow cards and just one red card, he has also awarded just two penalties in 2013/14.

David Plowright and Ricky Wootton will be the linesmen, whilst David Avent is scheduled to be Fourth Official.
