Walsall's former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Sam Mantom has put pen-to-paper on a new two-and-a-half year contract at the Banks's Stadium.
The 21-year-old, Stourbridge born midfielder came through he ranks at The Hawthorns, having initially started with the Walsall Centre of Excellence, and penned a professional contract with The Baggies in 2010. He spent much of the following three years on loan to clubs such as Tranmere Rovers and Oldham Athletic and of course, Walsall.
Mantom originally joined The Saddlers in March 2012 on a short term loan and returned again in November 2012 for another short term deal, in total he made just over twenty appearances for The Saddlers, scoring four goals.
In January 2013, following a recall from his parent club, Sam negotiated his release, and immediately penned an 18-month-contract with the Saddlers. Sam will now remain at the club until atleast the summer of 2016.
