Walsall manager Dean Smith has refused to rule out offering winger Julian Gray a deal at the Banks's, Gray is currently training with the squad following a two-year spell with Cypriot side Nea Salamis Famagusta.
Gray originally joined The Saddlers in February 2010, following his release from Barnsley, and signed a one-year deal at the start of the following season. Julian made over sixty first-team appearances and scored fourteen goal before departing at the end of 2010/11.
Smith told the Express & Star; "Julian is a player who did really well for me when I first took over in the job, for me he has had a fantastic attitude and is a really good footballer.
"He has come in and kept himself fit. I think he is hoping he can earn a contract here and I have said we will take a look at him. It’s up in the air at the moment.
"I’m sure he will be looking at other avenues and I have told him to do that as well because, at the moment, there is nothing concrete from us."
