23-year-old started his career at the age of eight playing for Eastlea colts and then went on to join local side Clapton before moving to Ilford.
Troy joined Harrow Borough in the summer of 2010, and made an immediate impact, netting 20 goals in 30 League games.
After just one season with the Borough he was handed a professional deal at Queens Park Rangers.
Troy found his opportunities limited at Loftus Road and spent time on loan with Dagenham & Redbridge, Bury and Colchester United.
Troy was released by QPR at the end of last season.
