Here is a little information on the players we believe are currently training with the squad.
Joel Purkiss - Brother of Saddlers defender Ben, Joel began is career with Sheffield FC and following his release spent the whole of last season training with Walsall, he joined local side Rushall Olympic towards the end of their campaign and put in many impressive performances.
James McQuilkin - 24-year-old midfielder began his career with West Bromwich Albion before being released in 2007, James joined Czech side FC Fastav Zlín in 2007 and made several appearances for both the first-team and 'B' side.
Tipton born McQuilkin joined Hereford United in 2009 and went on to make over seventy-five first team appearances for The Bulls before being released in March 2013
Omari Sterling-James - Originally an apprentice at the Birmingham City Academy, Omari joined Alvechurch as part of the two clubs feeder agreement last summer, and went on to impress for the club in the Midland Alliance, finishing joint top-scorer
Whilst playing for Alvechurch, Omari has also been a part of Walsall's Reserves side and has put in several good performances, enough to see his trial extended from the early part of last season through to the current pre-season campaign.
Calum Barrett - 19-year old Calum is a Stafford-born former Aston Villa scholar. A goalkeeper who was part of the 2011 Barclays Premier Academy League winning side.
Sebastian Usai - A 23-year old former Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper, born in Brisbane, Australia, he joined Blackburn in 2011 from Brisbane Strikers.
