Walsall manager Dean Smith has signalled the club are no longer in the market for a striker, choosing instead to focus on midfield and goalkeeping cover.

Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; "We are looking in wide areas,

"I've got five players there up front if you include Danny Griffiths who are all fighting for two slots at the moment and they all look really good so it will give me headaches come the Tranmere game.

"We like to have energy in the team and we certainly have that. We want a goalkeeper in before Tranmere and we’ll maybe look to bring one more in from there."
