Walsall Football Club have signed former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Romaine Sawyers on a one-year contract, with the option of a further year, following a brief trial period.
Walsall Football Club have signed former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Romaine Sawyers on a one-year contract, with the option of a further year, following a brief trial period.

21-year-old Saint Kitts and Nevis international, Sawyers came through the ranks at The Hawthorns after joining the club in 2004, and made his debut during the final game of the 2008/09 campaign.

He signed his first professional contract the following summer, but missed much of the following season with a knee injury.


During his time with West Brom, Romaine had also spent time on loan with Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town and 
Walsall, who he joined March 2013, for an initial 28-day spell, he made just four substitute appearances for the club.

Romaine returned to the Baggies at the end of the season, and was released by the club on July 1st. June.
