The Football League have today revealed the name of the organisations title new sponsor.

Sky Bet have agreed a deal which, from next season, will see the League's flagship competition will be titled 'the Sky Bet Football League', with its three divisions being becoming 'The Sky Bet Championship', 'Sky Bet League One' and 'Sky Bet League Two'.

As we reported on April 10th DIY chain B&Q had originally been the front-runners to ink a £9m per-annum deal after previous sponsor npower decided against renewing their three-year agreement, but pulled out of negotiations without notice, something which has still yet to be explained.

It was later revealed Domino's Pizza had become the new favourites to agree a deal but they also failed to accept terms.

Last week Papa John's were also revealed as the 'official pizza partner' of the Football League.
