Newly departed striker Will Grigg took to Twitter to explain his reasons for leaving, and to thank Saddlers fans for their support.
Will said; "Just want to thank Walsall Football Club, and the fans for the opportunities and support they have given me over the last 5 years. The club is in great shape with Deano, ROK (Richard O'Kelly) and Whits (Jon Whitney) and I'm sure they will have another good season. I wish the club the best of luck and look forward to returning to the Banks's in 2014."
He continued, "I'm not just moving clubs, I'm also moving away from home and out of my comfort zone, so it has not been an easy decision but having met with Uwe Rosler and Matthew Benham. I am excited about the plans move Brentford forward and wanted to be a part of it. Bring on pre-season. Great squad in place and can't wait to get back playing!"
